Terms of Service
The rules for creating an account and using Onbars.
By creating an account or using Onbars ("the app"), you agree to these terms.
1. Publisher
At pre-launch, the publisher is an individual. This section will be completed upon registration.
Contact: [email protected]
2. Purpose
Onbars is a community calisthenics / street-workout app to track training, map parks, earn a verifiable strength score, certify skills by video, and receive AI training analysis.
3. Account & age
You must be at least 15. Provide accurate information (fake performance data may lead to suspension). You are responsible for your credentials. One natural person per account.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- provide false performance data or abuse the certification system (faked videos, fake votes);
- impersonate others, harass, or post illegal/hateful/defamatory content;
- submit third-party videos without consent;
- bypass security, automate access, or bulk-extract data;
- add fake parks or reports.
Violations may lead to content removal, suspension, or termination.
5. User content
You keep your rights to content you post. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host and display it solely to operate the service (e.g. show a routine you made public, submit a video for peer review). The license ends on deletion of the content or account. We do not use your videos to train AI models.
6. Intellectual property & third-party content
6.1 Your warranty
By posting content (park photo, certification video, routine, avatar, text), you warrant that you are the author or hold all necessary rights (copyright, image rights of any filmed/photographed persons) to post it and grant us the license in Section 5, and that it doesn't infringe any third party's IP, image, or other rights (copyrighted background music in a video, a third party's logo or work, etc.). You are solely responsible for the content you post; breach of this warranty is a material breach of these Terms.
6.2 Notice-and-takedown
If you believe content on Onbars infringes your rights (copyright, image right, trademark), report it via the in-app report button, or email [email protected] with: your identity, precise identification of the content (link/ID, screenshot), the right invoked with proof of ownership, and a good-faith statement. We acknowledge complete notices and act without undue delay to remove or disable access to manifestly unlawful content. The content's author is notified and may contest the takedown by demonstrating the content's legitimacy.
6.3 Counter-notice & repeat infringement
If you believe your content was wrongly removed, contest it at the same address with proof of your rights. Bad-faith takedown requests carry liability for their author. Accounts with repeated, substantiated infringement reports may be suspended or terminated, independent of any rights holder's legal action.
6.4 Our property
The "Onbars" trademark, logo, visual identity, scoring formula, and app structure are our property or that of our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law.
7. Score, tiers & certification
Score and tiers follow a published, evolvable formula. Badge validation is community-voted (60% approval, min 10 votes). We may invalidate fraudulently obtained certifications.
8. Paid features (upcoming)
Onbars is currently free. Paid (freemium) features may be introduced later; pricing, withdrawal rights, and cancellation terms will be specified at launch, with your express consent before any payment.
9. Availability & liability
Provided "as is", no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Fitness disclaimer: Onbars provides no medical advice — consult a health professional before training; you train at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to direct, foreseeable damages. We are not liable for user-posted content; see the notice-and-takedown procedure in Section 6.2 if your rights are affected.
10. Personal data
Processing is described in our Privacy Policy, an integral part of these terms.
11. Termination
You may delete your account anytime (Settings → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach, including repeat infringement under Section 6.3.
12. Changes
We may modify these terms; material changes are notified in-app and continued use constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
Governed by French law. Disputes: after attempting amicable resolution (consumer mediator for consumers), French courts have jurisdiction.
